Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Band Present:

The Edmund Fitzgerald 50 years after 1975 – 2025

The church bell chimed till it rang 29 times for each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald

2025 marks the 50th year of the tragic sinking of the giant ore freighter Edmund Fitzgerald.

The ship remains at the bottom of Lake Superior and is the gravesite of the 29 sailors who perished November 10, 1975.

Gordon Lightfoot’s classic hit song The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald was nominated for two Grammy awards.

Lightfoot and the 29 families were part of the dedication of a ships bell replica engraved with the 29 names.

Gordon Lightfoot passed away May 1, 2023. Now, the ship and song are being remembered with concerts by The Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Band.

The tribute band was established in 1996 with a personal endorsement by Gordon Lightfoot.

Wayne Anthony is a true chameleon. Entertainer, story-teller, multi-instrumentalist, composer & producer, Wayne came up on the East Coast as an inspired member of a very musical family under the guidance of his Father George Cullinan who was a renowned Crooner & Big Band Singer. With a vast collection of musical styles, he’s followed a lifetime allure for the stage which has lasted over 5 decades and is still running strong. Wayne is a performing member in over 12 musical productions and has performed on prestigious stages such as Target Center, The Troubadour In West Hollywood, Grand Casinos, Crooners, The Dakota, The Guthrie Theatre, The Chanhassen Theatre, Paisley Park Studios, The Fitzgerald Theatre, & St. Paul River Center. Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the season and all its happiness, wonder, chaos and insanity with hysterical holiday themed stand-up comedy, storytelling, and special musical performances.

This is going to truly be a wild and outrageous night of non-stop laughter and holiday cheer! 

Jason Schommer is a standup comedian and storyteller who spent two years as the opening act for comedy legend Louie Anderson in Las Vegas and toured with Louie regularly. Comedy icon Louie Anderson said, “Jason is funny, clever, smart, and on his way to the big time!”. As a stand-up comic, Jason has performed in clubs and theaters all over the USA as well as Canada and for the US Military in Japan. A regular performer at The Moth, Jason has won numerous Story Slam competitions and was invited to perform at the GrandSlam at The Fitzgerald Theatre in St. Paul in 2016 and 2023 and in 2018 at The Guthrie Theater and The Pantages Theater in 2022. Jason has made multiple appearances nationally on The Moth Radio Hour as well as featured on the podcast. Jason has worked in New York City for The Rosie O’Donnell Show and has worked behind the scenes in Hollywood as a stand in for Louie Anderson on the FX television series Baskets.  In 2017 Jason released his first live comedy album “Confessions of a Local Celebrity”. Most recently Jason went viral on TikTok by starring in a video with Dave Ryan from KDWB and hitting over 5.3 million views. Jason has also been featured on The Morning Show and The Jason Show with Jason Matheson on FOX9 and Twin Cities Live on KSTP.

Michael Shynes is a Midwest born singer songwriter with a Diamond Record in Poland. Being a self-taught musician from Little Falls, MN, Michael chased an unlikely dream and built a career out of nothing more than pure hustle and soulful songwriting. While Michael’s music may be difficult to define (often oscillating from Folk to Pop to R&B to Country and then back again), the intent behind it is the unifying ingredient; the unmistakable truth that it never strives to be anything less than genuine and authentic. Blending shades of multiple genres over an acoustic and full band landscape, his songs are ripe with lyrical depth rarely paired with such mainstream appeal. The thing that seems to separate Michael is unquestionably his vocal stylings. With a range and falsetto that is nothing short of captivating, his acoustic finger picking style acts as the perfect bed of warmth on which his soulful lyrics can rest. Michael would often get noticed as a strong local candidate to open up for national acts as they came through town, and even ended up on a tour with Platinum Recording Artist Howie Day. From humble beginnings, he has worked to become one of the most sought-after performers in the Midwest and now plays to standing room only crowds. Michael Shynes recently released his latest full length album “Don’t Be Scared” to rave reviews.

Gabby Road Project – A Rock & Roll Christmas Story

Musicians from a number of local groups have put together a raucous Rock and Roll Holiday concert to get into the Spirit of the Season! Classic Holiday Rock & Roll from the Beach Boys, Elvis, Brenda Lee, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, the Eagles, and more, plus twisted holiday tunes from the Beatles, the Ventures, Chuck Berry, with more than a few surprises thrown in! Follow the story of a Rock & Roll-loving kid as he yearns for the ultimate gift on his list to Santa in A ROCK AND ROLL CHRISTMAS STORY!  

The Gabby Road Project (www.GABBYROAD.net) is the creation of a couple local musicians who have created a studio for rehearsing, recording and creating podcasts for all things Beatles. British and 1960s and 1970s pop music and culture. They have decided to bring this to a live show experience. The Rock & Roll Christmas Story features musicians from Butch Automatic & The Four Speeds, Bingos, Shaw Brothers, Just Us / Christine Passig Music, and others.
